What's the point of resetting your ecu?

what's the point of doing this?

You reset your ECU after you fix the problem that's throwing a code and making your CEL come on... other than that no real reason.

some people do it after installing a performance mod to help the ecu reconize the mod and adapt.

you could always turnit clockwise hold it for 2 then counter and watch the nice blinking effect it gives. Gives a nice feel of epilepsy

The ECU is constantly adapting. Resettnig it doesn't help anything.

reset it so its not there anymore, and youll know when itll throw another code. lets say your cel comes on for o2 sensor. you change the o2 then set it back, so when the next problem arises you will know when and what it is.
