vs in what? luxury? performance?

performance, no contest... the max will make lunch of the tl s or not.
Luxury? Debatable, but personally, the TL (I've been in quite a few of that year) is a much finer interior. Better leather, especially the preforated leather of the S, really nice wood moulded dash, just a really classy luxury car.
The 330 to me screams yuppy, or a beginner level status car when that was all you could afford. Usually 30 year old weiners drive them, or 17 year old rich kids.

I almost bought a 02 TL, not type-S. It was nice inside, but I was scared away after logging on to their forums and reading almost nothing but bad tranny stories. One guy was on his fifth tranny and he had 50,000 miles on his car. Even though it was getting replaced under warranty, still a headache I don't need.

I cound'nt agree more with this post... Very well said...

I've made mince meat of the TL-S on more than one occasion, however I think the interior of that car is superb... The seats are out of hand... Then again you pay 5k more for it new...

incorrect... Not that I'd condone a maxima owner getting an Acura/Honda =) but the CL-S and TL-S came out manual in 02 and 03 (im pretty sure). Or are you looking for non-S vehicles. I think they made them manual to compete vs. the Maxima, and BMW manual offerings.
