Horn Wires snipped

Someone snipped the wires on my horn. I am not sure if they was an effort to break in to the car or to try and get the headlights.

does anyone know if it is possible to move the horn easily in a 2k2 max. the wires look like they are kinda short

Yeah the horn wires are easily to get too. Most cars have one horn in the front and another horn in the passenger side of the engine bay. This is the way maximas used to be. I'd just move it to near the radiator resevoir. ENough space there and thats where it used to be somewhat near.

well. if they snip it. And open the hood or car door. then no alarm will sound. The lights will jsut blink when the alarm goes off. Be careful with your car near the area that happened. VERY CAREFUL. you have a 2k2 car and the headlights are worth a lot.

No matter how much we spend on aftermarker.... or just having a factory alarm. Smart theives will just cut the horn wires. It's just common since. I think all of us need to move them.

With a JMS grille, it's more difficult for someone to get to the wires....

Time to move out or downgrade to 00-01 headlights. They WILL be back. It only takes a couple of minutes for them to jack your lights, even with the relocated horn going off.

well i am going to replace the top bolts and i am hoping that the datadots kit will also help. i am pretty sure though that they were aiming to get in the car and not take the lights. i mean why snip the horn and then not make an attempt at anything. they had to know i was going to fix it. dunno kinda weird

Who knows? They might have had to "leave in a hurry..." You don't know if a cop happend to drive by or somebody was leaving to go to work.

i mean i dont exactly live in a bad area. i live in eastern long island so it is usually pretty quiet. i just wish there was indication of something else so i knew what was going on. i cant move so my only other option is to rent a garage here and park in there. plus i am surrounded by woods so if someone was going to work or if someone was driving by they could just hide for a min then come back. i have a aftermarket alarm so even if they disable the horn the other alarm will sound. at least moving the horn will be better in the mean time i normaly park my car facing "in" towards the parking spot so now it will be backed in at least to make the front more visible to people

Easy to install. They can be plug and play, or you can use the relay. Guys have done it both ways. I used the relay, so it took a bit longer. Check to see where they are made. They originally came from Germany, but now some are being made in India. Mine are German.

Insures the horns are getting the correct amount of power without blowing a fuse. Most guys just plug and play with no problems, though. I did mine about 2 years ago and at that time, there was talk that without the relay, fuses would blow.
