R.I.P. (Safety features worked)

Well, my 2003 Maxima kept me alive (somehow). I suffered a broken neck requiring surgery, but I'm still here and breathing.

Guess I don't need to worry about how to enable the trip computer control with my Kenwood head unit anymore.

More pics of the wrecked cars, and me spending Christmas in the hospital are at http://www.billmoore.net/wreck/

I suffered an accident 3 years ago... I was a passenger in a Honduh (probably why I got so injured)... =) Anyways, accidents aren't fun as you now know... Glad to see you are fine and soon you can buy another Max... It's sad to see one mangled up like that but at least it really did save you as you have no apparent cuts from the glass or disfigurement and you were alive for the holidays.

You must have a very good Karma to get out alive of such a crash, I hope you will recover well and enjoy your life again.

I think you got the worst Christas present ever!

All joking aside, that looks like a nasty accident, and glad to see that you're alive and doing well. Do the doctors know if you'll have a full recovery?

I am sorry for that madness, I also think SUV's are just tanks with no reason to go over 45 mph, truly amazing you got out of that with no irreversable damage

looks like an accident my brother and two of my best friends were in in '03! All three were drunk (dumb-a$$es!) and the driver decided to show off his '01 SE. So, anyway, at about 100 he lost control, hit the ditch on his side of the road, got launched into the other ditch, hit that one, bounced into the woods with the car rolling (6.5 rotations) and knocking off trees seven to 10 feet up in the air. One big tree finally stopped them while they were upside down. The car fell a full 10 feet onto it's roof. Believe it or not, the roof didn't collaspe more than an inch! One of the guys had a broken hip, another broken ribs and a bruised lung and my brother had 156 stitches in his face (the cut missed his jugular by 1/8"!). Hard to beleive it, but all are fine now. Any other car and they all would have been dead!

These people are DANGEROUS and kill other people in the process. I lived in the DC rat race race for many years and as a new driver I cut my teeth driving on the DC Beltway/raceway... for me it's the rest of the **** for brains I have to look out for. Anyway... get well soon, count your blessings and let us know what kind of new max your getting.

Sorry to hear about the accident. I wish you a full recovery. I see crap like this every day. I wish drivers of vehicles over 5000lbs were required to have extensive training on technique as well as consiquenses of an accident while driving these larger vehicles. Good luck!!!!!

Glad to hear that your max took a bullet for ya. Take care and get well soon. Forget
the max and get a G35x.

Mike

filtor1: " I wish drivers of vehicles over 5000lbs were required to have extensive training on technique as well as consiquenses of an accident while driving these larger vehicles."

Your statement don't make sense. Are you saying I can't drive also because I own
a suburban? People with max get into accident just as well as people who owns SUV,
pickup truck, Semi's and anyother vehicles. That statement you just made is idiotic.

MIke
