Apparently its normal for the first couple of weeks. I've had the FC for over 2 weeks and still get it... others have told me that they've had it too... anyone else wanna comment?

It's normal for any new exhaust to have some minor "new" smells coming out as it cooks in. Once it has been on there for a few miles, it should go away. If it doesn't, you may have other problems.

What does the burning smell like? If its anything other than a semi-acrid type smell of metal heating up or like that of welding (very hard to describe smells, I just realized that, anyway...) you may want to look to make sure something is not rubbing the undercarriage, the rear bumper, etc.
