I'd really have to say that it all depends on the tank in the ground more than the gas in that tank, especially since its a single station they've contacted and I'm sure there is more than 1 Citgo there. I've seen BP, Exxon, etc. all have a run of "bad gas" due to the tank in the ground leaking in one form or another and have to have the tank repaired / replaced. Citgo gas has never given me a problem in the years I've been using it and I use it about once every month or 2 and get the same mileage I get from Crown, BP, Amaco, Chevron, etc (or at least I would go just as far before I fill up).
But it does show you one thing: GMs newer cars can't compete with the rest on the road apparently. If they could, you'd either see a ton of car makers complaining about the gas or you'd see nothing other than a few random cars listed as having conked out due to sulfate salts in the gas. I've owned a 2K GM and I can atest to the reliability (or lack there-of) of those cars.
