If you have one of those rolling code garage doors, it can't be done.

you hold the two outside buttons till they blink or something to reset them, then you hold the button you want to program while holding your garage door opener button and pointing at it until the light blinks...i think thats how its done, someone with a better memory correct me if im wrong

Press and hold for a few seconds (can't remember exactly how long) the two outer buttons on the visor to clear all programs and then follow the directions. It may take a few tries, but it can be done.

I have the rolling code feature also and it works with my homelink programmer.

reference sections 2-34 and 2-35 in the owners manual

if your homelink button has someone on it already, the reprogramming for rolling code feature is slightly different

those directions are a lot better. You need to program the remote to the car first and then the garage door opener to the car.

in the manual its a little confusing cause most people just skip to the "learning feature" part

yay thanks! i have a rolling code and i have a similar card to the one maximadave posted but it left out the rolling code part and I never read up on how to program it.

We just had the automatic garage door opener installed maybe 6 weeks ago though..

but thanks again

I'd love to use my visor button but when I program my door and push the button... BOTH doors go up or down... or one goes up and the other goes down... you get the picture. Anyone have any ideas for someone who has two of the same openers???

what ELSE can you do with this......

I wonder if you can activate 'pilot-controlled' runway lights or what else...
o this is very exciting

Some public use airports have runway lights that are pilot activated by transmitting 'clicks' 3,5, or 7 times over the appropriate frequency.

1) handheld reciever on the appropriate freq.
2) stand near the reciever for the automatic lights
3) program the homelink

IM GOING TO TRY THIS!!!

How are you managing it now? It's the same principle either using your visor xmitter or the handheld??

just reprogram the side that you dont want the max to open! Hit the learn button and then use the standard remote for that unit. Dont use the max homelink til you have completed the the standard side.

one time while programming my garage door, I finished and i was able to open 3 other garage doors in my neighborhood. Apparently, they all used their garages in the few esconds that i was prssing the button and all have the same one...it was pretty cool.
