Anybody have an idea how I might do this. I currently share an access card with my girlfriend to enter our underground parking. The card is maybe double or triple the thickness of a credit card and must only be waived in front of a sensor in order to open the garage door. How would i program my homelink to work with this so I don't need to use teh card?

 

you can't do it... the card would need to transmit a code wich it does not.. the reader just detects it and works to open the door....

 

i have a key also to get in the apartment, but i saw the manager using a remote, so sometime soon when i see her, ill ask if i can program the thing, and im sure the manager of the apt building would have a remote also

 

is it like a scanner? how close do you have to be to it? if its like a normal garage door opener, it should work the same as a garage opener.

 

wow sorry, a little late just try and get the remote from the manager, im sure it will be no problem after that

 

I don't know if there is a remote as well, all I know is I wave my card past this scanner thing and the door opens up after a light turns green on the scanner
