Best tint for Sterling Mist...

Hey guys,

In your opinions, what is the best tint (color and percentage) for a Sterling Mist max? I don't know what the legal limit is in NJ yet, but I'll worry about that later. Thanks.

I love a nice black tint on a sterling mist. 20% rear/35% sides. Looks nice & clean.

Do you have a dark or light colored interior. It'll make a difference.

Hmmm... the light interior won't make the 35's look as dark on the sides. A 20% all around might work out better for you.

FYI, the law in NJ is: NO tints at all in the front which includes driver, passenger, and windshield. The upside is that you for the back 5 windows you can go as dark as like. But I live in NJ and have 7 windows tinted 25% all the way around on a Sterling Mist. I only had 1 cop say something about the front windows after I got pulled over for something else.

Hope this helps.

bigdu, what al7601 said is correct, we can have NO % on the front 2 and windshield. i personally have 20% on mine, and havent had a cop say anything yet to me about it, even in the frequent stops ive had lately. oddly enuff, on my last car, i had 35%, and got stopped a couple of times and given a warning for tint. i guess it just matters on the cop on the day.

i like how sooners looks tho, that isnt bad at all. also, the color tint that Hamy got, i cant remember, i think it was 35% but i dont remember the brand (the one everyone seems to like). that had a bit of silver to it.

and zourtney, i had mine done for $150, one piece rear window, lifetime warranty, no bubbles, just some imperfections in the upper corners.

20%, just for reference

No, your spelling is "retarted".

Black looks best on a silver car. It gives a better contrast then a reflecting tint. But thats just my thoughts on the matter.

BTW, I went with 35% all the way around.

platinum tint is gross imo, black all the way. you don't have to get limo all around but get dark (<20%) all around, that's what i have (13 to be exact) and it looks wonderful. Medium (30ish) is too light for my tastes
