Some 2002 Questions

This will be the first post from a new owner of a 2002 6sp. First, let me say that the paragraphs that Wards and others use to describe just how good the VQ is still does not prepare one for actually opening up this engine and being pulled to redline. Having previously owned a Toyota 3L V6 I am used to engines that feel as though they are driving the car from the other side of the road but I now know a new genre of smooth. If I duplicate a few questions here I apologize, since the search feature is disabled its difficult to get some answers. Question 1.) Does anyone have a rough idea how many miles to expect to get out of the 6sp M/T... if its driven "agressively" but nothing extraordinary? Question 2.) I have seen the posts about using velcrow to re-enforce the back deck to prevent rattle from the Bose sub. Does anyone know if there has been a recalls or TSBs or anything that would obligate a dealer to fix this problem outside of the 3/36 but not 5/60?? Thanks.

in the stickies, they have a few ways to stop the rattles. i tried my own method with weatherstripping, and that failed. its actually getting worse in the cold.

good luck with the new car, i just got mine a few months ago, and comin from a honda 3L V6, this is a HUGE difference, your right.
