If i install a budget y-pipe can i still install headers on my 2001 ae? or will i still to replace the y-pipe too and replace it as once big peice?

you would have to get rid of the budget y. all headers come with the y pipe and none will bolt up to the y pipe even of the same brand. i sold my cattman y on here and went with the first batch of hotshot headers.

so what is the hp gain difference between the headers and the y-pipe

also where can i buy one for an 01? becuase i've only seen them for 02+

 

no one has really dynoed the difference on a 2k/2k1 yet. blackbird mentioned he is getting headers soon to replace his ailing cattman y pipe. i would be willing to bet a dyno would come out of it. i should be dynoing before too long as well. for the most part, i have the same mods as my previous dyno so it should be a good comparison.
cattman makes headers for 2k/2k1 and is most likely the best fit for now. i got a set of the first batch of hotshot headers for 2k2 and sr20den was able to install them on my 01 AE. there were a few minor difference but nothing that a good installer could not get around.

The Cattman fit 95-03. Though there are some few modifications for the 3.5L they will fit.
