Not sure about the nav models, but on my non nav model the joystick can be moved left to right to change the mileage....I bet yours does this too.

Good luck and if all else fails, check the dreaded owners manual

Having your oil changed every 2500-3000 miles is a waste of money when you're using Mobil1. You can go with 5000-7500 intervals with no problem. Many org members have done lab tests on their oil's and results showed that synthetics can last up to 10000 miles and longer with no problem.
Also, most people with brand new cars will switch to synthetic oil after about 5000 miles or 2 oil changes. Engines break in better with dino oils.

Nissan recommend you wait to 20K to change to Synth.
From racing friends and mechanics who have been working on cars since the 60's they all recommend 3K for oil changes for combined driving. If you do only highway miles you can get away with 5k. Oil is cheap to replace, parts are not. Spend the extra $20/yr on oil to keep your car running in top shape. As far as the oil filter goes there are some who like aftermarket options. Reading on sentra.net (run by a nissan engineer) he only recommends using the nissan oil filters because they are specifically engineered for that car (sentra). This may or may not apply to the max but I don't have to pay for oil changes so I know I get nissan parts.

Read for yourself and make your own decision:

You put in 5-1/2 Quarts of oil on a drain and refill?? The Nissan Service Manual instructs that with an oil filter (drain and refill) you should install 4-1/4 Quarts - you might want to look under your car cause you're gonna leak somewhere...you might want to read the Owner's Manual before you go overfilling stuff - it's not too good for the car or the environment...just my $.02 worth.
