Which Intake Setup Works with Hybrid Motor?

I currently have the '97 Injen CAI, I do not know if this will still fit and work with the '00 VI, PF TB, and Hybrid motor. I really want to get the PR CAI, what year make do I need to get for the hybrid swap with the VI IM and PF TB. Thanks!

he is going with a 3.5 bottom end and a 3.0 top end. i would go with a short ram intake myself.

Why would I be misphrasing something? Yes I'm going the 3.5 route.

I don't really want to go with short ram unless it's the last resort, I actually want to go CAI Place Racing CAI. Will it fit? And work?

i see 2 options for you.
1. buy a pr cold air and if it doesnt work just use the midpipe and you have short ram.
or 2. you could always make your own intake. compared to putting in a 3.5 bottom end in it should be cake.

doubtful, the injen has a whole different piping setup. and if it can be done i havent ever seen it done. also i remember once on the boards where a guy put tempature sensors on the places where all the different intakes go and the tempature from where the injen was sucking air was higher then the place of the normal short ram and much higher then the normal cai. i wouldnt waste my money on the injen if i were you.

Yeah I know but will the PR CAI For the '00 still work as a CAI and be able to go in the wheel well? Or will I have to use it as a short ram?

Well it should def work as a short ram ,but i dont know if they changed that area that much for the CAI . It prob will work either way. But nothings 100%.

If you have a straight frankincar attached to a popcharger that will clear also. Or anystraight pipe .thats what tilley and me used.

i have the injen intake but would swap back to midpipe and filter easy .. you can always drop in a lightweight battery (replacing big stocker) will open up more room in the eb. i tell you though, there are some post floating around on the org (with dynos) on the whole intake myth and how the stock setups are better ? please tell me that isnt true ? LOL ! 500 dollars later on all kinds of setups. good luck with the hybrid setup
