jus installed SER altima rear subframe

installed SER rear subframe on maxima because they use same suspension setup.(no pics). SER subframe contains stiffer bushings and will be used on reg. altimas over seas because they are more aggresive. just in idea for the real enthuse tuners, if there is any for A34.

if you just did it for the bushing, i think it is pointless unless you cant buy the stiffer bushings.

he said A34 frame so that would be 6th gen.

maxima ser is redundant. the purpose of altima ser is for those that wannabe a Max owner but must settle for the alti. altima is just the $$ maker for Nissan now. Maxima has grown up and more sophisticated while alti competes with the honda crowds. of course this is just IMHO.

I am also wondering why was the entire subframe installed only to benefit from stiffer bushings. I don't see the cost/benefit being favorable at all, unless the subframe was d@mn near free.

jus sharing to the community, that i installed a SER rear subframe at work because the A34 SL i had a vibration no balance or steering rack would fix. so the engineers plus one from japan had all this equipment to measure road vibration. and is only for this chasis cuz it has same suspension set up as the alitma.

Ok I see what your saying. Explain more on the rear subframe. Im not real familiar with it and how it could cause rattling or vibrations.

Altima SE-R rotors are identical to Max.
SE-R calipers are merely painted differently, and it will all bolt right on the 04 Max.

The rotor size is the same size, and the caliper is just painted silver. I don't think anything else is different.

Yes, I agree, they do look somewhat different. But they are still single piston type. Further investigation is necessary.

I wonder if the Altima SE-R gas cap will fit our 6th Gens? That would probably be good for a tenth or two and maybe 5mph in the quarter.

I think a good brake swap is the Brembos from a G35. Check out my thread on that topic.

not worth it IMHO. only 2.5-4 HP and it's not even at the wheels. so it basically gets lost. so for the rice gains vs. hp, I'll pass on this one.

now NISMO add-ons are where it's at! can't wait to slap on my JDM stickers... who needs nitro?
