weird a$$ idle stall

about a week ago i started my engine and it was around 32 or so degrees out. i put my car into reverse(auto trans.) and the cars RPM's just died down and the car stalled. a tried cold starting it and after sitting in Park reving the engine at 2 1/2 rpms for about a min. or two it was fine does any1 have this problem i mean i shouldent have to do this every time its cold right? could it be my tranny f'ed up or just something as simple as the battery is on its last life?

if the fuel filter is cogged or in need of changing the normal amount of gas inst all getting thru so at idle it could be getting less gas than its suppost to.

I think fuel filters are to be changed at every 12k I think, I'm at about 10K and I think its in need of changing, I think when i ran some seafoam it might have clean out some gunk but now its stuck in the fuel filter.

I have the same problem.

I posted something about it here.

I have since changed the:
- ECTS
- Fuel Filter
- PCV Value
- cleaned the IACV
- adjusted my Fast Idle (cold start)

But I still have the problem.

I had a similar issue, but it ended up being some weird mix of MAF and O2 sensor issues.

Crouton, were you getting any ECU codes? I am not getting any, nor any ghost codes.

I tried a faulty MAF, that I picked up on eBay, to try and narrow it down but that is not my problem. My MAF is in good working order.
