How long does a yellow top last for??

What's up guys just want to know because I had mine for almost 4 years now. Plus my car is not starting right away anymore. Maybe its the cold but I dought it. Also if I leave my stereo on for 10-15 minutes without the car being on it dies on me. Thanks.

Get a new battery. You can get batteries for around $70 that have more CCA than Optima and also have 36 mo. free replacement. Cold weather does not affect a new battery whatsoever as far as the driver is concerned.

Yellow top is designed for adding it into your trunk to power your subs/system. I have the red top and it does wonders for me.

I recommend the $69 battery.

The Exide Select Orbital is better than the Optima Red Top. But I see no need for it. Here are real figures:

$69 battery from Advance Auto (cca at 32, cca at 0):

813/650 3 yr free replacement

$110 Red top

910/720

$120 Exide

1000/770

The 813/650 far exceeds the battery that came with the car. It will be replaced within 3 yrs for free, so you get 6 years for $69. Why spend $110 or $120? The Red Top is 11% better, yet costs 57% more. It claims to last longer, what was your experience? Again, with the $69 battery it's replaced for free 3 years from now, so does Red Top make it for 12 years?

Disclaimer: If you are rich, who cares about money, buy what you like. Also, if the idea of a $69 battery under your hood makes you feel like a po' boy, don't get it. Spend over $100.

Red Top = 3 year free replacement, 3 year prorated.
"Abusive service / Deep Cycle Applciations / Car Audio" - Not covered

Yellow Top = 1 year Free replacement, 1 year prorated
"Series String Applications with battery management" - 12 months

I had my first yellow top in a car audio environment for 5+ years and two separate cars. My Maxima has had an optima yellow top since I bought it. I swapped the battery out with my old Accord (it was in the accord for 1-2 years or so) and put the brand new Nissan battery in it when I sold it

Have a red top in the wife's Max. I have real world experience and satisfaction with these batteries and I will never buy another brand. They made me a satisfied customer the first time around ... that's all it takes.

When I picked up my 99GXE in April 01, It already had a red top installed. This will be my fourth "NY"winter with this car. It starts every morning without a fuss. Lately, our weather has been below 10 in the mornings.
