I was on the boardwalk at Coney Island last Sun. Was very interesting to see who were there! Also amazed that the subway station has been renovated--3 years ago it was still dilapidated and smelled like, you know. Today the restrooms are clean.

Well, all I can say is that in the days when people did not have the web and used Auto Trader, etc., it was the same--if they said damage to right quarter, they would take the pic from the left front. So it's nothing strange to do the same on the web.

Again, most of that stuff in junkyards is simply junk. The only people who could reasonably rebuild that stuff own body shops, and even then it's not that profitable to do so. That's why those vehicles end up in the scrapyard--not worth fixing. And for a car that new, who wants used parts? They're usually covered by insurance.

 

LOL @ the seller's description. That car is Fcuked beyond proper repair.

That place is probably a junkyard, and they usually downplay the extent of the damage. I've seen complete front ends gone, and they would say EZ-fix or light damage.

 

If it was closer to me, I would concider buying it. Buy a old, old, 4th gen for like 2 grand and start a swap

 

Id buy that for 1$ just for the rims and the motor....

Ive seen some pritty smashed up cars get fixed up, take a look at his is300. It is fixed and it was probubly just as smashed up as the other cars in his listing. Most shops would just change a front clip and no one would realy know how bad the car was ever smashed, they would have salavge titles but they are still driveable cars....

Hell yea if I was in NY I would buy it, part it out, sell the navi or try to rig it into my car, you could easily make you money back parting out that car, then dump it when your done.

I call dibs on the rear BURGER badge. From the looks of it, there is no frame damage. I'd buy it and fix it but the car is an ugly looking POS and I already have totalled car in the garage.

I wouldn't want that engine. The car was obviously rolled, and running an engine while it's upside down is bad news for the internals.
