Well, we are supposed to get a lot of snow where i live and my rims are off my car now because of the snow. I cleaned them real good last night and seeing that i might be in the house for some time, does it sound like a good idea to wax my rims? Shouldnt harm it.. right?

I wax my rims everytime I wash/wax my car (about 2x/month). Keeps the brake dust to a minimum. That way, when I get gas once a week, I wipe the dust off my rims.

Sounds like a good idea, I've never waxed my rims (still flexing the sawblades) but sounds like a good idea, and break dust should just wipe off easy.

Since the wheels are off go ahead, they'll stay protected and clean.

No, it shouldn't hurt the wheels. Sounds like a good plan. Sadly enough I actually wax my stock SE wheels...not necessarily for a shine, but for easier clean up.
