turn - squeak - turn - squeak

i have a 97 se...just had the struts, strut mounts, tie rods, and springs replaced.

whenever i turn my steering wheel (stopped or not) i get a loud squeak coming from the passenger side strut tower... any ideas? the parts are all new oem.

keep in mind that i could be standing still and if i turn the wheel (wide turns by the way) i still get the squeak all the way thru the turn. at first i thought it was the strut bearing/bushing/mount/rubber thing that i forget what it's called at the top of the strut, but i just had it replaced...problem still exists.

help!

thanks guys,
james

Might be the coils rubbing together... although I wouldn't expect that from oem springs.

any other ideas? i don't think it should be the coils rubbing either on oem se springs. this only started about a couple days ago prior to the snow that we just got here in nyc.

If it's not the coils rubbing, then maybe the piece of insulation where the spring seats on the strut is missing.

The only other squeak, squeel I've heard is when the power steering fluid is low. But if you're hearing it from the tower, this shouldn't apply.

hrmm... i didn't check any insulation. a friend of mine actually owns a shop, so maybe i'll just drop it by his place.

has anyone else experienced anything like this?
