Yes your eliminating your precats. Under federal law it is illegal to change your catalytic converters if they are functioning properly... and pretty much any other emissions system on your car.

 

now if u get a cat back that doesnt eliminate the precats correct hence the name cat back.

Why? Just make sure the car is warmed up before taking it for emmissions testing.

 

I passed with 4 different sensors triggering my CEL including Knock, 2 02 sensors, crank and didnt warm it up

Well technically I wouldve failed because of the CEL light... but I still passed the emissions part when they strapped my car to the dyno and put a sniffer up the tail pipe... it passed with flying colors, it was wayyy under the limit... how I dont know
