I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I took my maxima to get looked at because it has trouble starting in the cold unless i give it a little gas, also it has a very rough idle when stopped in drive. I was told it needed a new idle control valve. Could anyone give me some insite on this issue?

 

I had a problem with my idle as well. The fix was simple with mine, the idle intake needed to be cleaned. If that intake gets clooged with any sort of build-up it will cause your car to sputter and sometimes stall. That maybe something to ask the mechanic. It's a cheap fix if that happens to be the problem. It worked for me. Hope that helps.

 

clean ur throttle body if that dont work then it might just be the idle control valve
