*mad* Mitsubishi coil packs discontinued????!!!

I ordered 6 coil packs from Courtesy Nissan. I specified with the tech. that I want Mitsubishi ONLY and NOT Hanshin.
I get them TODAY and:
3 are Mitsubishi, and 3 are Hanshin.
The shorter ones are the Mitsu. and the longer ones are the Hanshin.

Mitsu p/n: 22448-31U16

Hanshin p/n: 22448-31U01 (the Mitsu. p/n for the longer one is :22448-31U11)

So I called them up. The tech. puts me on hold... blah blah blah, and... he eventually tells me that the Mitsubishis are no longer available.
Is he right????
Should I just put them in anyways????

Is this why the G/B is on hold? Twillen is waiting on something that is no longer available???

If anything I would complain to Courtesy for the price difference over the 2. Iirc, the 2 brands are a little different in price.

I also heard that Mitsu coils are being discontinued but from what I understand the Hanshins made in 97-99 were crap. You shouldn't have any problems from newer Hanshins.

Take that with a grain of salt...that's only what I've heard.

I'm merely responding to YOUR "helpful" post. I could certainly respect your opinion if you would post a link to the "said" thread you mention, that contains ALL the vital and necessary info that I am seeking.
I just scrolled through approx. the last 350 posts and I do noty see this thread you so kindly mentioned.

should've went further. I responded to that thread a few days ago so I know I'm not making it up. The mitsu coils were discontinued so your best bet is to hit up a junk yard or the FOR SALE forums and get some coils from a 95-96 maxima.

I agree.... life is waaaaay too short!
However, how else does a BB stay alive unless just about EVERY question is a REPEAT???? Might as well shut this down and turn it into an archive
Nonetheless, thanks for the info.
I will take MrEous' advice and use what I got.
