I ordered brembo slotted only rotors from ebay. I heard some folks on here say that it is a good idea to resurface even new rotors. Is that true?

If so, front, back or both?

if it is a good idea to get them surfaced you should get all 4 surfaced. I'm not sure myself and would like to find out.

how much did you pay for the rotors? Are they the genuine brembos?

pics?

I did nice and slow foward stops acouple of times, then moved on to harder foward stops and so on... it takes awhile before the pads get use to the slots though... there may be some more brake dust than before, but this is the brake in period....

*** it may differ from my results, I had slotted and drilled ***

Yes. I got genuine brembos from ebay. They were exactly $226 shipped - all four, slotted.

Still don't know if I should resurface them because of so many mixed views.

There's no reason to resurface new rotors just install and enjoy! There will be a little seating time with the pads so go easy for the first while.Sounds like an excellent price! Do you have the ebay link I'm looking for some too? I've got a thread going currently trying to get advice and info regarding slotted or drilled etc.

BUT I'D REALLY APPRECIATE THE LINK ON WHERE YOU GOT THEM!

First.. Why would you resurface new rotors? I have never heard such a thing.

Just clean them off with brake cleaner to get that sticky sealer they have to keep them from rusting

Second as far as I know you cant resurface slotted rotors.
