How do VG Maximas sound with performance exhausts?

I think I'll be looking at a muffler and possibly more soon. I've kinda been looking around at stuff like Stillen and warpspeed for stuff like cat-backs and full exhausts.

Whats out there that makes a little noise but isn't obnoxious? What makes no noise? How do they sound? The Warpspeed looks appealing.

Sound clips would be great Thanks.

EDIT: While on the subject of warpspeed, who here has used their CAI setup? It looks great, but I don't want the filter in my fenderwell....can you just order their upper tube and leave the filter in the stock location?

i only have a magnaflow on mine, that that thing gets loud and droney up to 2500 rpm. the intake...if you just want to leave the filter on the stock location, why not just get a regular cone intake instead?

i seen a guy with a "performance" exhaust on his VG and it sounded like an angry honda civic(a bit stronger tone then the ricer civics) and then I seen a guy with what looked like a VE who had a dual exhaust setup and it sounded like a mustang.

Oi...don't want an angry Civic tone :\ Just something to kinda accentuate the VG noise a little.

On a side note, I think I'll be using a WSP upper intake tube in conjunction with a JWT cone from courtesy to do a semi-CAI setup.

I'll spell it out for you the easy way

Cat-backs... WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!

You can go out and buy a muffler, and have 2.23 or 2.5 piping installed for $200-300 less than a cat back. And if you are wanting to stay away from the "HONDA BEE CAN!" Go with one of the following

Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Ravin, or Greddy.

I have a Ravin and love the sound. Has half old muscle car, and half import (sweet import, not honda bee can)

I've got no muffler, and it doesn't sound like a fart can.
noise isn't too loud, but then again I only drive about 10 minutes a day, and that's usually at speeds of over 35 mph

You always want people to hear you coming before they see you, thats essential so remember that.
