Oh dang. Wheel/suspension noise. Squeaks and groans.

My '91 SE has started making noises from the wheels/suspension area.

It sqeaks while rolling forward. Just a squeak-squeak-squeak sort of noise that moves quickly. I'm guessing wheel bearings? What else might it be? I've got some warpededed rotors...maybe they're rubbing my shot pads?

Anyways, the main problem is something that just started today. I'm pulling in to a parking space slowly, with the front wheels turned. Clutch in, foot off gas, no brake. The car makes a long deep *grrrrroooooaaaaaann* kind of sqeaky noise. It definitely sounded like metal to metal and didn't stop until the car stopped. Kinda has me worried...any ideas for either problem? This was definitly not PS or something like that...definitely came from near a wheel and I actually felt it

I'm thinkig wheel bearings or something :\

Brake pads could cause both of those?

Well, I hope so. In any case, I'm doing my brakes come summer. Don't worry, I'll order from you

Could be separate problems maybe.... the first one really sounds like worn brake pads to me. Sometimes they don't look that worn because one edge wears more than the other.

Can't think off the top of my head what the second noise might be, but if you suspect the wheel bearing get a mechanic to put it up on a lift to listen to it.

When brake pads wear out, they have a little metal tab that pops out to let you know that they are worn out, and they make it sound horrible.
