Would you guys call it Mahogany? I am trying to find a gosh darn shift **** to match and I have no clue when they make these names up for wood.

Unfortunately (for us, fortunately for trees), no trees were harmed in making of any Nissan (or infiniti) interiors.

This means that they aren't really wood with patterns. I tried to look for wood kits to match my Pathfinder's factory "wood", but then realized that it doesn't match any real wood/stain color.

Best that one can do is to get something that is similar, but you won't find an exact match unless the trim is also "faux wood" made to match the specific nissan trim.

But I think really dark "dark burlwood" is the closest to the 00-01 maxima 01-02 pathfinder wood colors.

A real mahogany shows some grains. I believe the Maxima "wood" is a burlwood (means there are no real grains but swirls like marble).

Do you have 02-03? if so, I remember hearing that you can replace the head with 25th anniversary manual shifter head... Don't quote me on that.

He might have "manual" shifted. Which is BAD for your tranny. If the shifter head is worn down, perhaps he manually moved the shifter around the gears. If this was my car, I'd get the tranny fluid flushed and refilled.

I noticed alot of people who drive the 02-03 automatics as if it was "manumatic"...
