Do Not Buy This Pos Kit!!!

About a month ago I asked 5th gen owners about an e-bay body kit.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT

An overwhelming majority said DO NOT BUY. But since I was replacing both bumpers anyways and had extra cash I gave it a shot anyways
After a long wait and bull**** runarounds about when the kit is going to arrive, it came.
- It is a paper thin piece of ****. Looks like if you drove more than 75mph it would just disintegrate.
- It has cracks already (before it was even attempted to put on).
- Terrible mesh that covers main openings is broken.
- The lip, where you are supposed to drill holes to mount it to the fenders and quarter panels is so small (less than 1/2 inch in most places) that it is virtually impossible to hold it on securely.

I wrote the foker that sold it to me, but haven't received a reply yet. Although I am sure even if he took it back and refunded the $, shipping and handlind ($150) is not refundable.

I hope this will finally get the point across to all who are considering wasting $ on this scam - now that it is backed up by hard evidence instead of just "don't buy it it sucks".

Sorry to hear about that... that really sucks... thanks for putting up the warning for everyone else (kits aren't my thing but I'm sure others will benefit)... I'm sure it'll be greatly appreciated...

I believe someone else was asking about the same kit this past weekend and despite an overwhelming majority telling em not to, I think they too went ahead and bought it....

Now ya know when the ... it does matter to some extent...

Anyways, all the best with everything...

Well the thing is that there was no reasoning in everyones opinions. I believe one person said "it will crack easilly if you hit anything".

Now at least they know exactly what a scam those kits are.

P.S. I never was into body kits either. I'd be the first one to tell you that any excessive mods like that will seriously hurt your resale value. But since replacing both bumpers, I gave it a shot. WHAT A MISTAKE!

An overwhelming majority said DO NOT BUY.

Lets see, you used the org to research a product you were interested in.
The research told you that is was a POS and not to buy it, which in turn made you buy the kit.....

Am I missing something here?

wait till you get that painted and installed! ebay kts dont even fit right, so they charge you extra to make it fit. i paid about 1500 to get mine on the 240sx. POS kit. someone else on the org is interested in buying these cheao kit as well. we need to BAN ebay kits for real. people are buying these to "try them out" but theyre not worth to try them out. 150 for shipping is alot. if he does return it, thats the cost of the kit. so he basically lost 300. if he does decide to put it on its $1500 youll regret spending. good luck with your kit dude. hopefully you figure a way out to save you some money.

If anything the fact that the kit is freaking hideous shouldve kept you away.

On a serious note, I wouldve probably purchased the AE kit and had them fit that. Almost all after-market kits are either ugly or cheap. Good luck in the future and I would just bite the bullet and put a regular kit on the car.

The strongest, best quality kit out there is....NO KIT

it can't crack, break, or cost extra for fitting if it aint there

j/k well that sucks, but you really should have known by the price and the lack of "brand"....companies like Stillen have expensive kits for a reason...because it costs alot of $$ to make a quality kit (whethere they look good or not is another story entirely, and the one you bought is lee haney....but I digress).

anyhow, best of luck with some kind of return......

That really sux. I would just ship the damn thing back to him and bite the bullet, if he will let you, since it not worth putting the money into getting it put on. Its going to cost you more in the long run to keep the damn thing.
