'89 - '90 tranny's

'89 - '90 tranny's

I've been hearing bad things about these tranny's.
What's the info on them? Currently I have about 75,000
on my '90.Any idea of how long they may last?
Also will a tranny from '91 & up bolt up the same?

only the auto's but all the third gen trannies bolt up. With the 92-94 SE's trannies you have to use the axles I believe.

hi,

you tranny should last up to 145k miles or more if you take good care of your tranny,

75,000? damn that car is still 'young' compared to mine at 178k. just don't abuse the tranny and it'll last you awhile.

Dunno about the mechanics. But its also all electronics, and computer controlled. If not taken care, will start slipping and ruin also mechanics. So first do go after the computer enviro, and do thorough maintenace:
