radar detector hard wire writeup

I just did this today, thought i would make a writeup. its here

http://www.gregg-henry.com/maxima/radar/radar.html

and here is the photos i took
http://www.gregg-henry.com/maxima/radar/index.htm

as i was doing it, i did a stupid thing. I unscrewed the motor to the sunroof trying to get into the space to the right of it. Is there a special way to get the motor back on the right track. what i did was turn the key to 'on' and the motor teeth werent all the way up and for some reason the motor was opening it but it didnt open. I sorta fixed it but i can only open my sunroof half way now, nothing more, it closes and goes to up positon fine though.

any help with the sunroof is great. and enjoy the writeup. its short and probably easy for others to do, but i made it anyway.

mmm are they legal in your state?? otherwise this is pretty stupid IMHO...
Get pulled over and fined not only for speeding, but then they confiscate your detector.

good work

reason the sunroof wires didn't work is because they are ground switched (you press the button and it gets ground) so you dont have any + voltage going through there
