My new 98 GLE *PICS*

Thanks to everybody who responded to my other thread. I ended up getting the maxima. Rides a lot stiffer than my dad's 2001 GXE. I guess that since i have a 4th gen like wanted, i need a name change. Anyways, dont mention that i need a drop because im not getting one. When it snows, our street rarely gets cleared and i dont feel like hitting my bumper on the snow. The car is beautiful. While inspecting it closer at home, i found that the muffler is a little rusted, but i dont think it'll be a problem for a while. I'll probably get a 5th gen muffler. The paint seems perfect, but there are little tiny dents all over, even on the roof. Im guessing the previous owner drove it through a pretty bad hail storm.

Sweet Max. I've always been a sucker for gray, charcoal or silver Max's. It's pretty hot, take care of her

The sawblades aren't the best but they sure beat the stock rims on 95-96 GLE's...no offense to owners of those years but those rims were whack. You should get some Moda's on there. Or maybe some ADR GT's

Wow thats real low miles!
The Bose seem to sound very good, dont know what you mean. They've been in the car since 98 and still work perfectly.
I'll probably get 2 12's and just leave the spakers alone.

Good clean start on your "Mafiamobile"

Despite what you're thinking, i say you still plan to drop it. Spend enough time on the org and you will end up doing it...

You don't need to worry about a drop and snow, You live in Ohio. You guys don't get that much snow down there. The car looks good though.

I have that same steering wheel cover, it makes it easier to drive when the car is cold or hot and it makes the steering wheel feel bigger. Nice car !

We get almost always get the same weather patterns that you guys do - they travel across Canada, dip down and hit IL, IN, and OH, and then move on through PA toward New England. Michigan might see more overall snowfall, but we get hit with the same storms.

Maximized2k1 - where did you find your car at? I forgot to look on the AutoTrader link at who had it... private owner or dealer?

98MikeXimaSE - that sig pic has been around for a while... I'm sure your mileage has climbed at least a few thousand.... I'm still jealous, though (comin up on 150k).

SolidSnake-it was at the Bob Ross dealership in Centerville. One previous owner, clean carfax.
I live in West Chester if you know where that is.

yeah, the snow here only falls maybe 3 times a year, but when it falls, it really falls. Our whole street rarely gets cleaned. I may just get maxspeeds to reduce the giant gap. I looked at the muffler in daylight today, and it looks like i may need a new one. I'll post pics.

Agreed. I simply hate the way they feel - especially the areas that are covered in bumps....

Snow is soft. It won't harm your bumper. It doesn't snow very much down there anyway. I say drop it.

Does anyone know if the "GLE" badge was on all 97-99 GLEs? I thought it was just 99s but that's clearly wrong.
