Well i switched my 98 I30 over to mobil 1 full synthetic this weekend and now im leaking, i think its probally just my filter seal of drain plug but my real question is should i have replaced my drain plug seal thing? can i only get them from the dealer? what do they cost? also has anyone used the UV leak diagnosis kits from auto stores....if i cant find the leak i think i might try one.

its a pretty slow leak and seems to only leak when the car is being driven. any ideas greatly appreciated.

 

Have you gotten under the car and checked to see where it is comming from? if its your drain plug then the leak would come right from the drain plug, in which most auto stores sell drain plugs, not sure how well those fit in our cars, but they do have them, dont think they cost more than $10.

if its not your drain plug (make sure its on tight too), then look around and try to find out where exactly or general area the leak is comming from
