Transmission problem?

Okay, here's my current problem. I cleaned my throttle body the other day and got check engine light afterwords. I reset the ECU and no more light, so i guess thats good.

Anyway, i have what i think is a transmission problem now. I will be driving along and it seems like the car will downshift. As im driving i feel the throttle slow then it speeds up again. When it picks up the car kind of jerks like a bad shift, sometimes it is really hard.

Could this have anything to do with me cleaning the throttle body the other day. I remember seeing something about a throttle position sensor, could i have screwed something up.

Thanks.

P.S. Its an auto with about 160k on it. just had transmission flush about a month ago at dealership.

You should have pulled the code when the CEL came on. That would have probably pointed you in the right direction. You may not have a tranny problem, but rather an engine issue. Make sure you didn't disconnect the drop resistor when you took the air cleaner top off.

i think i have the same problem, minus the TB cleaning and the sudden jerks, but defininatly the RPM drops... it just started happening on its own.
