I was in my room, and I hear beep beep....and the 791 remote shows the little engine start. I run down to my garage, and check to see whats up, but nobody was there, nothing seemed out of place. I wanted to know if there is a setting that I have changed which would make this happen? I want to fix this, because it is dangerous having a car started in a garage, even with the time limit on the remote start.

Is your garage heated.. and how cold is it there?

I don't think that has anything to do with it -- but here, when its been below 10*F down to a few below 0, my power locks have been going crazy. They lock all on their own at random intervals... weirdness.

 

if u had ur keys on you, maybe u were accidently hitting the button. I know that sometimes I will walk outside and see my windows down cause when I hit unlock my unlock button will get stuck down....causing the windows to go down.(I love that feature(until ir raining)). but if ur keys are up somewhere and away from you, I dunno what to tell you.

 

well, with the 791 there is a feature that your car can turn on every 10 min, 30 min, 60 min etc to prevent engine freezing, the option may have been initiated without you knowing by accident.

 

U need to start the car by pressing the asterik button twice. Don't press lock/unlock to start the car. That will make it start every 4hrs for the next 48hrs.
