Squeeking!!GRRR

ok i have a fair share of squeeks but this one is flat out irratating just wondering if any one has had this and know what it or where it is to correct myself first off it sounds like its comiing from my trunk the latch or somthing cant locate it cause it only makes the sound well im driving sound like a high pitch metal against metal sound like a squeek get back to me any one thanks in advance

when doesw it happen...only over bumps?.... look around ur trunk for worn rubbers in spots or somehting rubbing that looks worn . if its from your trunk.
i had a squeak with an older car i had that when i went over bumps it would sqeak around the trunk area, i thought it was the latch too but it wasnt worn looking or anything, it was actualy the rubber stoppers so i just took it off and left it that way and no more noise. not the weather stripping imean these little rubber nubbin things the size of a large coin,. it was an old car so i didnt care

I would start by taking everything out of your trunk. Including jack (and it's tools), spare tire, and etc. Then see if you still get the sound.

it sounds like either the trunk or mybe even the rear door latch but it has plastic over the latchs on the rear doors so i ruled that out ill putz around and try and nail this squeek with some grease or WD ill let you guys know if i can find it and where it was coming from if any one else has this problem thanks for the tips ill try them out

i once had a squeak coming from my jack, drove me nuts. take the jack out and bend the mount for it away from the body a bit and see. good luck
