cima motor in maxima
There is a guy selling a cima motor on Thepartstrader.com, and i was wondering if the moter would work on a maxima. I know that the cima is a rear wheel drive car. So i did not think that it would work. I emailed the guy selling it and this is what he said.
" The cima is rear wheel drive however it would not be a problem to put your tranny on it, it is the same size and displacement. It would make a great sleeper car."
He says it has like 300 hp or something like that. Does he know what he is talking about is theis possible and if so how hard would it be to put it in.
thanks

since it's a JDM-spec engine, it's rated at about 280bhp, but I'm sure it's higher =)
The advantage of dropping a VQ30DE-T in a Max is that it's most likely been internally fortified for high boost at the factory (I'm not positive though).
It would definitely be interesting to see if a DE-T would fit in one of our cars. I'm sure the intake and exhaust plumbing's gonna need alot of work, but the big question is will a Maxima tranny fit that engine?
