Clutch pedal dropped
Clutch pedal dropped
Today when I got in my car the clutch pedal would not disengage the clutch. I noticed a slight loss of pedal feel yesterday but thought I was imagining things. Now, the pedal will only slightly disengage the clutch when fully depressed. It has no resistance for the first 4/5 of travel, and will start to disengage the clutch durning the last 1/5 of travel. When fully depressed the pedal will stay on the floor, and I have to pull it back up with my foot. The tranny and everything else seem to be normal otherwise, and clutch is not slipping under power.
For anyone who has had this happen before, what fixed it? I don't think it's the actual clutch disc since it's not slipping and since this happened overnight, and the clutch fluid resevoir is full. Haven't had time to investigate further since I had to get to work.
Thanks in advance,
David

The clutch system hydraulics only consists of the pedal, master cylinder, rubber line and slave cylinder. Good chance it's one or more of the above items.
I'm going to guess the slave cylinder. You might not see any fluid level differences but I bet if you took a very close look at the slave cylinder boot, you will see a leak. I'd change them all since no doubtly you are on the original parts thus far and have probably never flushed your clutch fluid.
