oem wood dash kit falling apart need help?

my 99 max came with the oem wood trim but over the years, the heat has discolored and made the plastic come apart from the wood itself it looks liek crap, the piece right above the deck and the piece around the guage bezel are bad, anways has anyone run into this problem?

what color is the wood oem factory wood trim ?
and does anyone sell replace pieces for it?
and how do i take the crappy piices off, with a heat gun, blow dryer
any sugg. would be helpful?

You could get a new oem kit from the dealer but they would charge you a lot. I'd recommend just checking ebay for the parts you need or see if someone here is parting out a maxima with the same wood trim

if you have to use a heat gun to remove the pieces, then its probably not OEM. i believe the oem is plastic and has no adhesive what soever.

Mine looks like s*** too, and I am the original owner. Can you believe it was a $429 option? Also, it was installed at the port, not Japan. Mine was replaced under warranty, only to have it do the same thing again.

I don't care. But the thought did cross my mind to try a carbon fiber kit, until I saw carbon fiber look in my friend's Dodge Caravan. I simply wish my car had nothing on it to begin with.

When I was in a new Audi A6 last weekend, I was trying to figure out if its wood would become what ours is a few years from now. I couldn't tell. All I know is ours is not actually wood, it is cardboard. You find out when it delaminates.
