Paint wearing around skyview

Hey people...I've got a black/black 04 Max and I just noticed that the paint around the skyview is starting to scuff off..I ran my fingers along the edges and felt them as rough...looked closer and saw spots where the paint was already wearing....anyone else have that problem?

Do you think the dealer covers that?

Thanks,

Sparq

There is a recall on some sky view roof cars. Call the 800 number in your manual and and have your vin number ready. Ask if you car is involved in the recall. Later

the recall is for the glass.

guess you won't know if the dealer will cover it until you ask. I think paint is the hardest thing to get covered under warranty. but an area like this, I sure hope it would.

any speculation how this could possibly happen? since you used "scuff" to describe, what could possible scuff it?

Your car could have been included in the skyview recall before you purchased it. Maybe when the dealer replaced it they damaged the paint?

Already went to dealer last month for the recalll but they said that my car wasn't one that was under the recall. The only thing that could have possibly scuffed that area would have to be a car wash or wax...but neither could make iot wear like that...I'll take some pictures and post them.

Thanks,
