6sp's so hard to find!!!

After owning both a 1999 & 2001 Max with auto, I really want to try a 6sp this time. The problem is, they're so DAMNED hard to locate!

How long will I have to wait if I order exactly what I want? All I'm looking for is a Smoke or Silver 6sp manual with the Drivers Preferred Package. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to find.

you have to ask your dealer, they might have one close by in another dealer, if so your wait isn't long. maybe next day.

I ordered mine on Jan 26. I was quoted 8-12 weeks (by multiple dealerships including the dealership I bought the car from). My car is scheduled to be in production in March with a delivery in April.

The funny thing is that if you find a used one with a manual, it seems pretty easy to get a good deal on it since not many people want em, around here at least. I was toying with the idea of getting something along the lines of a new G35 or Saab 9-3 etc with a manual, but wasnt quite to the point of actually ordering a car or looking outside the local area to find one. I ran across my maxima almost on accident, and ended up getting a great deal on it strictly because of the manual. The dealer had the car quite awhile and had several people look at it, but I guess were all turned off by the 6spd, so I guess they were ready just to get rid of it without worrying about profit to much.
