2 questions on Intake and Lights....

Well I just ordered a cold air intake for my 98 GLE, I was wondering if anyone knows what that "boost sensor" on the intake is for and what I should do with that when I put in the new intake. Also what is the large black sensor located on type of the intake right next to the filter itself?

For the lights, I ordered some clear turn signal covers, just wanted to know if anyone knows how to remove the existing ones. Thanks.

1) Just tie the boost sensor up someplace out of the way. It looks at atmospheric and manifold absolute pressure. The large round sensor is the Mass Air Flow sensor. Be carefull with that one.

2) Pry the side reflector out with a flat blade screw driver by the crack next to the front lense. Then you'll see the phillips screw holding the front lense in. Remove that, installation is reverse.

i just did the lights today... there real easy to remove... put a regular screwdriver between the two turnsignals and pry off the smaller flat one... it should pop right out. Then a screw holding the larger curved light will be exposed andu unscrew that and it will come off too... its pretty easy to do

The sensor im talking about is just a big square that is sitting next to the air box. How do I go about moving that to the new intake. Thanks for the other replies guys.
