Airbag System Inspection: 10 Years from date of manufacture?

Ok, we all have that little notice in the manual and on the visor that states the airbag system should be 'inspected' 10 years from the date of manufacture.

Well, most of us with 4th gen's are approaching this time limit. Is this really serious? If you actually go to the dealer, what do they do? How much do they charge? Has anyone had this done?

Just curious.

Simple. Run the car into something immovable doing at least 30 mph. You'll know if they work or not.
