First off I have to say this thing is awesome and it is a must have for any die hard car enthiusiast. Well I went down the street to a pretty flat straight road that had a small hill on it and began my 0-60 tests. The first two runs I had my windows down ang about 20 pounds of trash in my car. My first run I did 0-60 in 6.46 seconds, my 2nd run I did in 6.50 seconds. Then I headed back to my house and decided to clean the junk out of my car and while I was at it I took out my jack and spair tire and carpet. Now I headed back out to the same spot I did the 1st two tests and this time I rolled all my windows up except my drivers window{I forgot}. So I did the test again and this time I got a 6.41 0-60 time, I decided to go at it one more time and really let in rip and got a 6.36 0-60 time. I was very imprest by these times, though I know they are not 100% accurate but they are very close. It was intersting I picked up a .1th of a second by removing the trash in my car and my spare tire stuff and rolling my windows up{except my drivers window}. I should mention that these test were performed in my 95 Maxima which is a 5spd and has a RT cat, Centerforce Clutch and Alluminum flywheel and Michelan Snow tires{there not to bad}. Also I did do power shifting and had awesome launches on each test. Tonight I will head down to the resovoir near my house which is about a 1/2 mile of completly flat road, I hope see a 6.1 0-60 time this time because it will be cooler out and the road does not have a small hill on it and I will also remember to shut my drivers window, hehe. BTW I can't wait until my I30 gets fixed and my new ACT Clutch is broken in, I will perform the same tests at the same spots, then we can compare a fully modded I30/Max to a mostly stock max. This will be very interesting.

Allright well the K&N Filter did not do jack! I got 0-60 in 6.40,6.44,6.39 so it did not help at all. My launches were good except for the 6.44 I did a big *** burn out. BTW I kept my drivers window open so tests would be the same as before the K&N Filter.

You mean you can't feel the rush from the K&N "performance filter"? Sounds like you are having a lot of fun, though.

He was originally feeling all the silicone the paper filter was letting in.

You gotta at least mod the stock air box or go cone style.

I am just selling my as soon as my I30 get's fixed so I am not going to bother tinkering around with it much.

My track is the street in front of my house, it is a nice back country road that at time has substained speeds above 120mph.

Yep these testes are all in my 95 max not my I30. My I30 does 0-60 in 6 days. If I had to guess how fast my I30 is I would probably say the 0-60 times would be in the low to mid 5's. I will test it out when my new clutch is broken in. Which won't be for a few weeks unfortanatly.

Well I did a few more tests nonight, I have a new best 0-60 time! I did it in 6.33 seconds and I had my spare tire and stuff in my car. Also I did 3 1/4 mile tests at my local resovoirs bridge, heres the results. Run #1 I did the 1/4 mile in 15.18 @ 95.8mph, run #2 in 15.09 @ 97.0 mph and run #3 was 15.15 @ 95.2 mph. I think these times are pretty good, for a almost stock maxima. Also my spare tire and stuff was in my car during these tests. I think I am a very, very consistant driver from looking at all these times, for each particular groups of testing I am always within .1th of the runs before it. Later tonight I will take a few more stabs at my 0-60 times with a striped trunk. I think they should be a little quicker with denser colder air. Hopefully I will see some 6.2 0-60 times tonight!

New best time!!!

This time I took my spare out, trunk carpet, jack, bottum rear bench seat and floor mats and rolled all my windows up. Also the temperature has dropped about 35 degrees from my first tests today. Well my first run I did 0-60 in 6.23 seconds and my second run was 6.22 sec. Ohh yeah the test I have been performing I began with a full tank of gas and now I have about 6/8ths of a full tank. In a few minutes I am going to remove the rest of my rear seat and try it again and then I will remove one of my headlights and see if that helps at all. My goal now is to get into the 6.0's. Well wish me luck!

Yep, it's a 5spd.

I just finshed taking out the rest of my rear seat and I am going back to my spot again for testing! Woo hoo!! Then off comes my headlight and I will do some more 0-60 runs and a few 1/4 mile runs! I'll be done in about a 1/2 hour.

It's all good, I have a brand new clutch in the car{only 1.5K miles on it}. The thing is called a G-Tech Pro, I bought it from stillen for $139.

I just finished my runs and no new best times, Argh!. I did a 6.24 and a few 6.3's, I think my car is starting to heat up and I am not going to break my 6.22 tonight. I also did 1 1/4 mile run and I got a 15.3, which is likely do to the car heating up, ohh well, I'm all done testing for tonight. Now I have to put all the crap back in my car, Argh. BTW looking at all my times I am like a machine that does the exact same thing each and every time under the particular circumstances. I think I would be really good for testing out mods, so if any one wants to send me your mods I will test them for you and let you know how they are.

Since you're doing the 0-60 under 6.4 most of the time, shouldn't your 1/4 mile time be in the mid-upper 14s?

It probably should be, but my Q rated snow tires probably produce a lot of drag in the 1/4 mile runs compared to the lower speed 0-60 times. Also I am doing my 1/4 times in a different spot then my 0-60 runs, it seems the street does not grip as well there. Also I have only done about 3 1/4 mile runs so far, I will try a few more tonight.
