100,000 engine seals

100,000 engine seals

Hello my car has 105,000 miles and now i kno y people get rid of them.my engine seals are leaking .i took my car to the dealer to do a tranny flush,they said i have to change the rear main seals by the tranny and the timiing chain cover and some other stuff i forgot."estimated price was $3,890 "wut should i do ?,get rid of it and stop paying for it. or find a cheaper mechanic?

well the car is leaking both sides.

my mechanic changed my clutch, slave cyllinder, and rear main seal for $1066, and people still tell me i got ripped off.

I'd be really cautious about dealing with these people. Take it for a second opinion -- a trusted independent or something like that. 100,000 mi is not a lot for the VQ30, not in a long shot. Don't jump into a 4,000 dollar repair when you don't know if it's even broken.

Find a cheaper mechanic! Also they may be lying to you. You can still drive your car. If you are leaking engine oil, just make sure you check it every so often so that you are not low on oil.

$4000 is ridiculous. You can get a new(er) engine and a turbo with that kind of money.

maxima2fly, I would start talking your car to Maroone of Pembroke pines and get it checked out by them.. or by one of the 2 orgers that works there as a mechanic..

why is it when i walk my *** to nissan they charge $80? jus to check the problem how do i ask for a FREE check up ?some where else
