I just got my Autometer Phantom A/F gauge, i need to know which wire to tap into the ECU. There are 3 wires, ignition, ground (to battery), & a violet color one for the 02 sensor. Can i tap this wire into the ECU for the 02 sensor reading? Let me know ASAP.

BTW, i bought the autometer dual gauge pod for the 300z. I was told that this will fit w/ minor work. Anyone else use or have this? Thanks.

Hmm..Why didn't you buy the Maxima pod? It's like $19.

yes, you tap the purple wire into the ECU harness, i forgot which one you tap into, but SX7R got my service manual, IM him on AIM, he should know which one you tap into.

Yea, when i get some extra cash i will buy the one for the Maxima but right now it looks fine. I used a heat gune and molded the edges so its contour to the Maxima pillar and it looks fine. I was told i am better off tapping it from the sensor itself rather then the ECU? Can this be right?

I can never catch Thomas when he is on AIM, he is always away or sleepy.

Use a voltometer to trace the wire from the ECU harness to the 02 sensor harness. Its a black wire on the sensor, it turns into a white wire on the under hood harness. The under hood harness's are very easy to access their right at the top. Disconect the ECU harness & batters neg cable, and use the continuity check setting to trace the wire back to the harness from the under hood harness. Its an easy job.
