I would agree w/ all these guys. The car looks sweet w/ the front lip and mud guards. That's what I have on my car

How do you like the lip w/o rear spoiler?

w/o spoiler

I will have a spoiler sometime in the future, when i decide on one. but the lip looks really good. i think it brings the front of the car together more and drawn attention away from my ugly a** stock rims and the fact that i have no spoiiler. (just back in alot and you will be cool). basically, i think it looks good, with or without a spoiler

Adding that lip really wants me to drop the car. It looks like I have more wheel gap w/ the lip. I got the sprint springs sitting in my room, but I don't have money for shocks right now

I'm thinking about lowering but Im a little scareed about the front lip getting scraped. Now with the sprint springs , thats a 2 inch drop which is a lot. That means a lot of careful driving. Maybe H&R would be a little better because they are less of a drop.

I thought of getting H&R for ride quality. But for the price of the sprints and those being the lowest, you really can't beat that. Once I get those springs on, I have to watch out for everything. So far no scrapage yet

I called Stillen on this issue. There price for the Front Lip is $350. Accroding to them, their Lip is made out of Polyurathane instead of fiber-glass. I hope for $169 by going through "Phoung" is the Poly option. I would hate to use Fiber-glass for this application.

If any of you have phoung's email, please slip it to me...

His lip is the same one you get from stillens. They are polyurethane (sp), not fiberglass. The new lip doesn't say stillens on it.

You know... a lip is the sort of area where you can learn to paint. Get yourself an airbrush, read a book or two, find a local body shop supply store where they like to chat, and go to it. If it's not on the car, you can just keep trying until you like the work and color match. If it comes out bad, just strip it with some reducer and start again. Don't be afraid to ask the guy at the store for a little extra tint in the shade(s) you need so you can play "johnny j body man" and blend it to get that perfect match you want.

I just went to this local body shop that my friend recommended. They painted his car twice, and it looked pretty good. He said he had to put in all this flex agent stuff, that way when I hit a curb, that the paint wouldn't crack and chip.

Scraping...

I just painted mine monday (yes, i went out, bought the paint, and did it myself, along with the valve cover). I have painted before so... anyway. It was really nice untill last night when the road bit me (I bottomed out). my car isnt even lowered. i guess i wont be going down that road anytime soon again.

PS: If you are gonna paint it yourself, 1 quart of paint, 1 quart of thinner, the flex additive w/ the hardener for the clear coat, and a gallon of reducer, all PPG paint, ran me $155.13, almost the price of the lip. so if this is all you are painting, take it somewhere and save yourself some money. If you are gonna paint the rest of the kit, maybe a wing and your hood, all this paint will cover that so its pretty much worth it.

ok i will shut up now

lip better w/ lowering?

wouldn't the lip actually rub less with the car lowered since the front end would be stiffer and less susceptible to nose diving?

Not really. Since the car sits lower, you gotta watch out for ever drive way and pot hole in the road. You just have less ground clearance, and watch out for speed bumps.

Nope, unless you got some custom work. You've got two options:
1) get a 97-99 front clip
2) just get the Stillen front lip for the 95/96.

Have you physically tried this or are you just estimating.. If you have tried this, where is the fit wrong besides the overhanging piece in the middle grill portion?

ohh comon , use your head, when you do a nose dive, its not the springs, its the road condition, like a pot hole or a drive way. In my case it was soft sand.

Actually, it IS the suspension. If you're going 60 and slam the brakes on a car with soft suspension, the car pitches forward. If you have a tighter suspension, there's less dive.

i can see where you are coming from but that is not enough pitch to scrape your lip when you have the stock setup. You still have a good 8" untill you nose dive.
