Most likely cause for shimmering headlights?
This isn't something that is effected by my stereo set up, or anything like that, and it also isn't an every day occurrence -- but it is frequent.
Basically, I notice my headlights shimmer at idle and when I apply the gas pedal the intensity improves greatly.
Before you answer (and not to be a dipwad
) but don't throw 12 guesses at me. I have lots of ideas too. I'm looking for solid answers here mates, or as the title implies 'most likely cause'.

No worries - No dippage points deducted. I changed my alternator about 3 months ago (it was used mind you and not a rebuild). As for the cap, no. But this happens regardless of my system being on.
