Haze on rear window after tinting

I had 15% tint applied to my 2k2 last week. The glass shop did not tint over the very top of the back window where there are black painted dots - they said the tinting film would not stick. But the bad news is that now that area is hazy. I took it back to the shop and they cleaned it but it's still there. They said it was there all along, but I know it wasn't. Has anyone had any problem with this same sort of thing? I think maybe some of the glue from the film got on in and they don't want to do the work to get it off. Has anyone had to remove something like that themselves? If so, how did you do it?

Thanks for any help you can give...

On that point, i use the antifogger from Rain-x, should that be used before laying tint down or on the tint itself?

I've seen a lot of maxima's with that area tinted, i would have them do it again.

My Max is like that too, so is my Acura. It is how it will look with tint. I have yet to see one that looks different.

i had the same film on my dox matrix when i had my tint done. they did not tint mine because some have proved to interfere with the radio reception which is why those dots are there. i used a glass cleaner was that ammonia free and it came with some scrubbing. i waited about 2-3 weeks after the tint so i didnt mess any of the tinted glass up incase the cleaner ran or i hit the edges.

maybe it was just the brand/style of tint that i got but they all but guaranteed me that it would affect radio signal. radio is not real important but i figured why mess with it. i know it is a credible shop from other that have had work and they have covered 2 warranty issues which were done 2 years after the initial tint.

Hey, you may be right. All I know is my tint is up over those dots and I have no prob with radio signal. In fact, isn't the antenna for the radio towards the bottom of the glass? I always thought that's what the non-defroster looking wire pattern was over on the passenger side.
