Removing the Catalytic Converter is illegal. Don't do it.

go for it

speeding is illegal, too, but we all do it...

there's a risk of getting caught driving w/o any cats, but it's a small chance.

Staright pipe

Why not go for it. I am running a straight pipe. I had an apexi world sport exhaust, it was to quiet with the cat and resonator on. So i removed them. I will go back to the shop soon, i wantto run 3 inch pipes when i go to install my cattman y-pipe. Yes it is illegal, but who will no unless you tell them. I live in NYC, and i can't tell you how much cars are running straight pipes. Yes i have felt a big increaqse in power. I will put everything back on and dyno it, after that i will remove it and run the straight pipe and see the results with the dyno. It will sound much better with it, and it also depends on what type of muffler you are getting, good luck.

Go for a performance cat instead. Random Tech tested theirs and got the same performance as a straight pipe.

Sure speeding's illegal too but that doesn't hurt the planet. (Until you run into a tree I guess)

hey, search for "test pipes." in one of the threads, there is an e-mail address to a person who will make it for you for under $35 shipped, half of your price.

What exactly would they do if you were caught without a cat? Fine you a few dollars? It seems like one of those insignificant violations that lawyers turn speeding tickets into.

it was the prototype for the new Sport Sedan RL that never came through. it was a mix of the current prelude, first TL and the legend. dunno what happened, but it had a killer V8 and was suppose to compete with the M5.
