Nah. Autos are so slow anyway, you should just skip the engine mods.

i did the y-pipe, test pipe, catback exhaust and intake all at the same time on my car (95 GLE auto) and it really felt like it made a difference.. do everything at once and you'll notice it

Nah, that's just your auto. It's too pretty to be fast now a days.

Biggest difference I felt was adding the y-pipe. Maybe the best single mod for a auto.

How much does it y-pipe and labor to have it install? It might cost me an arm and leg just to push harder! Naa! I'll past for now.

I just got mine installed for $50 bucks (a good deal IMO), didn't have time to install it myself.

Worth it even more on an auto, cause you need all you can get.

Get a Budget stainless steel y-pipe. And if you aren't in to noise and don't want a CAI or popcharger, couple it with a K&N panel air filter as it will breathe better. That's what I did and don't regret it.

I neglected to mention in the above that my 95 SE is a 5-speed. Where I really notice it is high up in 3rd gear - I can't speak for an automatic. I can't speak for low end as I don't put my foot into it off the line very often. Motorvate.ca shows a modest horsepower/torque loss at just above 3,000 rpm which for me is at about 70 - 75 cruising in 5th gear so who cares.

that is so true ^^^. i also did that, spent about $300 and most of them are on my hood and on the sides my car. I got a lot of compliments and pointed fingers, also i even have stickers that i don't even own the product for like NOS and TURBO.
i also have a BIG 2fast2furious windshield sticker to make my car even faster than the turbo max HAl used to have.
of course i'm kidding and anyone who does this should get punched in the face and their car kicked and laughed at. sorry that i wasted ur time.

I put mine on with a broken knock sensor and I could tell a huge difference. I chirped 2nd in an auto, or it chirped maybe at the 2-1 downshift... Either way the butt dyno noticed a nice improvement, and a tiny bit of sound was added to the exhaust.

After I (er... slizan) replaced the knock sensor, I scared myself driving home. This car has got to be a second faster than when I bought it. It's got a 15 sec run in it with just exhaust mods and a K&N.

Point being. Fast cars = fun. That y-pipe is possibly the best deal EVER for import cars. The header on my civic was $400 and it gave me maybe 3 HP. It was a dog even with CAI/H/E.

Whoa I have gone off on a tangent. lol
