When i get in my car and start it up there is a loud rattle. It last for about 2-3 seconds after i start the car up. It i shard to describe it but it is just a loud rattle that does not sound to pleasnt....what could this be? Thanks in advanced.

 

timing chain tensioner? put a screw driver and put your ear to it and locate where the sound is coming from

thick oil? is it cold there, it shouldn't be but just another suggestion.
